Group Work Camp is a very different kind of high energy camp experience, where youth serve people in a designated town who are in need due to disability, illness, poverty and more. The home repair projects are challenging and range from interior painting to rebuilding a deck or making a wheelchair ramp. All projects have project supervisors and the materials are provided by the local supporters of the project. We live in close quarters for six days, joining other youth groups to repair sagging porches, rebuild unsafe steps during the day, and enjoying fun activities in the evening. While the kids transform a house, God is at work transforming them, and those around them. Work camp covers the cooking, and cleaning. A classroom floor, an air mattress and a fan (there is no air conditioning) are among our supplies - in addition to saws, hammers, paint brushes, ladders and more.
